calling all collectors! this black with red-accented scottie dog is so, so adorable. he or she is a smaller size for the typical chalkware piece.
in the old days, these chalkware items often served as carnival prizes. many are from the 1940s.
because they are somewhat fragile, to see one this many decades later is a true find.
dog items are always in-demand.
this one was rescued from a small farming town's antique store, located out in the middle of kansas. so this little doggie could be named "toto."
the main condition issues are some white spots discoloring the black here and there, especially the back side, and some smaller pieces missing from the base. for this material, that's not bad.
