this adorable vintage puzzle is believed to be from the 1960s. it is notated "by walt disney productions."
the puzzle could become part of a disney collector's treasures or even make a wonderful gift for a disney colletor.
the puzzle is displayed in some photos on a small stand (not included). it could be displayed like this in a children's nursery or bedroom and become sweet vintage decor.
it is not cardboard like later children's puzzles. it is more a "hard" material, probably some combination of wood materials, because the puzzle notes that it is safe for children and without splinters.
it has 10 pieces--they are all there and sealed inside cellophane.
it is intended for ages 4 to 6, but remember that vintage items will not have today's same safety standards. use any necessary precautions, such as making sure a child or pet does not put pieces into their mouth and risk choking.
the puzzle is made in the usa by jaymar (brooklyn, new york).
the item condition: the color is still bright, but the puzzle has a few issues (look through the photos to see these):
- the left lower edge is a little damaged;
- the front/right portion just past mickey's nose may have some discoloration on a piece, or, it may be something on the outer cellophane wrap;
- a small white spot is at the top of mickey's top ear;
- on the back, its top right, there is a darker discoloration that may have been a water stain (the puzzle appears to be functional, even so).
