did somebody say pancakes and coffee? this lovely little syrup, creamer, or milk pitcher is something i spotted in a vintage store. it's the only one like this that i've ever seen for sale in a shop.

the pitcher is probably a mid-century kitchen item from the 1950s. the flip top lid and inner piece's slight spout design help pouring be a neater process.

the aluminum makes this a sturdy, usable product. because of the softer nature of aluminum, the pitcher shows some slight indentions and the most minor scratches, but is overall in very, very good condition. i always make sure to overstate any condition issues and want my customers to know what they're choosing and be happy with their purchase.

the handle has an extra fancy scrolled design. the parts are riveted together, with everything still solid.

the viko brand was called "the popular aluminum" and was made in the usa. the aluminum goods manufacturing company was based in manitowoc, wisconsin. the company was sometimes called the shorter nickname, simply "goods."

the viko name came from the 1909 merger of multiple companies and the two founders' names. the "vi" came from henry vit's name, owner of the manitowoc novelty company. the "ko" came from joseph koenig, owner of aluminum manufacturing.

the company produced everything from pots and pans and cooking utensils to hubcaps. their school lunch pails were a big seller. with world war i, they made mess kits and over a million canteens. by 1917, their brand name "mirro" was also developed.

size:  about 5-1/2" tall and about 5" wide out to the handle, with the body about 4" at its widest (the bottom about 2-1/2")

vintage item, as-is, exactly as shown in the photos

note:  hand-washing with warm water, dish soap, and a soft dishcloth is suggested (no dishwasher)
