i spotted these two hardcover books on a living room shelf at an estate sale. the odd-looking, interesting illustrations on the front and back covers caught my eye, then the "bronte" name.
both books proudly feature a bookplate saying: "from the library of the r.h. wades." an inscription inside each also says: "for elizabeth from grandmother leek christmas 1982."
the jane eyre book's spine is loose, but still together. that is the only issue. otherwise, it's in very good shape.
both books show a bit of typical aging, but are definitely well-preserved and something that will thrill you or your favorite bronte-lover.
