this book from "the louis l'amour collection" is not perfect, but it is still a great book. the cover is a padded leather-like hardback edition.
for your louis l'amour lover or western lover, this could make a sentimental gift. it would look great in a man cave, a wild west nursery, or a cowgirl/cowboy's bedroom, sitting on an easel or on a bookshelf.
the binding is tight. none of my vintage books are ex-library books (unless stated). i found this collectible book in a tiny town's collector's shelves.
the cover shows remnants from tape or a price tag in the top right corner and a tiny slice from the finish in the lower left. the gold autograph of louis l'amour is perfect, but some speckling or aging is right beneath it.
the edges and spine show some very minor discolorations and specks, but are in decent condition.
the inside front and back cover pages are all clean, except for an ink-penned price and dealer number at the top right of the first page.
the internal part of the book has no markings and is in very, very good shape, except for faint-looking water markings at the top and bottom of pages. the book has no musty odor, however. it is from a non-smoking home.
if anything, i try to over-state condition issues. i realized after looking at the actual book and comparing my photographs i took, the photos make any issues look worse than the book in person.
