growing up, i saw sets of these beautiful, classic kitchen tools hanging in many kitchens. they're still around, because they were so well-made.

the handle is wooden, riveted to the stainless steel lower handle and dipper. it features a hanging hole.

the ladle is heavyweight for its size, yet not overly heavy.

this ladle is probably from the 1960s, possibly the 1950s.

this old-school ladle would be gorgeous as vintage wall decor. but it is still in excellent condition and also functional for your chili, soup, sauce, and gravy. the pouring bowl is smaller-sized (probably what was called the #2 ladle) and has a pouring lip to one side.

these ekco kitchen tools are in high demand on vintage shopping sites and antique stores. i'm offering this one at a huge bargain. re-sellers can still make some money...

the ekco company was started in chicago in the late 1800s by an austrian immigrant. the company made a wide variety of household products. over time, it branched out into many locations in the usa.

the wood part of the handle looks in very good condition. the stainless steel handle and scoop portion have minor scratches and aging, but no major issues. overall, the ladle is lovely.

i suggest hand-washing. this will keep the wood handle lasting for many more years.

size:  10.5" long, with the ladle portion a 3" diameter

vintage item, as-is (i think the proper cleaning products could polish up the stainless steel to look like new--typically, the wood handles show any aging, but this one is in such great shape; some people "oil" the wood to keep it moistened)
