i've seen many of these ice crushers for sale in vintage stores. i've been picky on condition and color and offer these two rare colors:
1) soft yellow lower bin with cream/chrome top;
2) black lower bin with cream/chrome top.
this brand of vintage ice crusher is extra heavy-duty. back in the day, these ice crushers received the "good housekeeping seal of approval," a huge honor and requiring products to meet many different standards.
the plastic ice-holding bins (called the ice buckets) on the bottom are both in good condition, with no cracks. this is rare to find. the product becomes better weight-balanced, once the bin has ice stored in it. before any ice is in the bin, the item is overly heavy on top and can tip over, the two sections separating if bumped.
the yellow ice crusher is a light yellow, something between baby yellow and butter yellow.
these are probably from the 1950s. they have a flip-open, hinged top. the handle has what's called a fish-tail end.
the swing-a-way brand created quality products. the top portions (called cube hoppers) are extra heavyweight. the handles both turn perfectly. the ice crushers are functional and would be perfect for a bar area, man cave, mid-century home, industrial kitchen, or farmhouse kitchen.
these ice crushers are so pretty that they make cute vintage decor on a countertop, cabinet top, or shelf.

size: just under 10" tall top-to-bottom, 6-1/2" at the widest point from the edge out to the end of the handle, 4-1/2" at the widest point of the main body, and with the lower, plastic bin 6" tall and a 4-1/2" square (with rounded corners)
note: please, please beware of any younger ones and how sharp the internal blades are on these items. take precautions to make sure little fingers never test what those blades feel like. old-school products may come with excellent quality, yet lack today's safety features.
the ice size can be changed by turning the handle the other direction. one direction creates "fine" ice. the other direction creates "coarse" ice.
both ice crushers feature four round, felt pads on the bottom of the bin unit.
these are vintage items and as-is. the photos show all sides and exact condition. the ice crushers are both in very good vintage condition, but do show the wear and tear of normal usage. they have been well-cared for, but you can see imperfections and some cleaning-style markings on the bins, as well as some aging, rust-like, and "frost"-like spots on the top part of the units.
