i don't have any real info on this guess-timated 1960s-era (maybe as old as the 1940s or 1950s) file box. it's unique because of its design inside, made for something particular (but would work for many things).
the color is beautiful, a hammered gray. it has a plastic blue handle that says "bruce" and "pat pending."
it features an extra hinged area, opening up part of the front section. inside the box, unique metal slots were made for something and are about 1/2" apart.
i am guessing because of its heavy-duty quality, it could be a commercially-used product. it may have been used for check storage, like at a bank or office.
