this is a beautiful blue color! it's very, very heavy. best of all, it's vintage "made in the usa" and straight from western auto supply.
western auto supply was a popular department store chain in the old days, with its headquarters based in downtown kansas city. the chain is so iconic that the city insisted the old sign remain in the air, part of the skyline forever.
i found this beautiful jug just over the state line from kansas city, in a nice kansas suburb.
this jug advertised keeping hot drinks hot or cold drinks cold.
the two-part aluminum lid is intact, with both the external "cup" and the sealing inner portion. the spout is aluminum. the handle is aluminum, with yellow in the center.
overall, it's in pretty good shape, but does have some denting and some rust on the bottom.
