this beautiful book looks amazing. the colors are vivid. the pages look perfect, with only slight yellowing to show the age.
it says "wonder books/washable covers"--that does not mean that it can be throw into the washing machine, however. it means the cover is sturdy enough to wipe off. which you probably knew already...
in the story, danny the dinosaur hatches. he is a brontosaurus, so he is "big," compared to other dinosaurs. he is "little," because he is a baby. he tries to find the dinosaurs he is like. the story shows pterodactyls, stegosaurus, and allosaurus.
i love this story! it's sweet. it's timeless. it's fun. little ones will love it.

i only found two other editions like this, both in poor condition and priced higher than this price.
it has no writing and no tears. the spine and all the pages are intact. our home is a non-smoking home.
i found this treasure in a tiny town's antique store, along with several other wonder books, outside kansas city. i am guessing some child owned the books their whole life and stayed right there in that little town.
shows the original 25-cents price.
