this rare children's book is beautiful inside and out. the unique size is the first thing you notice. then you notice the especially lovely artwork and its colors.
other copies of this book for sale online varied greatly in price, with first editions much rarer and from $54 up, if you can even find more than one. i'm offering my copy at a bargain price as i try to move along sales and reduce my large inventory. if you're a dealer, you have an opportunity here to re-sell and make a large profit.

the famous and not-so-famous stories in the book: little red riding hood, the three billy goats gruff, wolf! wolf!, the three big sillies, the city mouse and the country mouse, the little wee woman, the fox and the crow, the tortoise and the hare, the gingerbread boy, the little red hen and the fox, the little red hen, the lion and the mouse, the foolish milkmaid, chicken licken, the three wishes, the three little pigs, the ugly duckling, the wolf and the kids, the straw, the coal, and the bean, the pot that would not stop boiling, the three bears, lazy jack, the little old woman and her pig, and the goose that laid the golden eggs.
you may be a collector.
or you may want to turn this book into cute, retro decor for a nursery, child's room, playroom, homeschooling area, classroom, or family room. stand it on a sturdy easel and presto, a beautiful touch added to a room.
if you are a homeschooling family, you could create different activities for different age levels. little ones might select their favorite story to hear read aloud. all students could be asked to draw a scene from a story. students could copy down a poem and study its structure. older students could compare different versions of the stories with other books you own or check out from the library.
the book shows a bit of aging and minor issues along the front cover's left spine and at the top right. a few pages show signs of former page bending.
a name on the first page is written in ink pen: "nicholas gicinto" (i almost missed it, however, because it blends in).
the inside front cover page's lower area near the spine has a small tear.
the back cover's top left edge is bent slightly inward.
