this classic folk tale retelling of "the little red hen" features illustrations by karen schmidt. the book is shaped and a smaller size, easy for little hands to hold. it would make a wonderful collectible or a storybook to keep at a grandparents' home.
this version stars the little red hen and three friends: a duck, a cat, and a pig.
the sturdy board book is vintage, but in generally very good condition. the only real issue is an inward bend/crease, not affecting turning the pages or binding.
it would look charming as decor, perhaps for a nursery shelf or on an easel in a children's room, family room, or homeschooling area.
its original price was $3.95, shown on the back cover. it was published by grosset & dunlap, first in 1984.
the book is from a non-smoking home and has never been a library book.
