puppy and kitten and lamb and duckling, oh my! this adorable, antique child's glass bowl is so charming.
it would make the cutest vintage holiday decor for easter-time. display it on a sturdy easel/stand or use as a candy dish.
only one was available online and that one is listed for just under $45. it's a very rare item, because most ended up broken by the little ones using them.
the only problem with this precious bowl: the real-gold checkerboard pattern that should circle the bowl is missing. i suspect someone put this bowl into a dishwasher, a real no-no. that melts away the gold.
i found it in a texas small town, where the oil industry once boomed. many historic homes showed the former high incomes (at one time, the highest per-person in the country). the antique store where i shopped featured many beautiful items.
believed to be from the 1930s (the company ceased operation in 1962)
hand-wash
vintage item, as-is, but in great condition, except for the missing checkerboard gold pattern and priced lower due to this (the bowl looks adorable as-is and you wouldn't know it was missing anything)
