part of the scientific living series/the how and why science books, this adorable vintage book features lovely retro artwork.
authors: george willard frasier, helen dolman maccracken, and lois gabel armstrong
illustrations by guy brown wiser
published by the l.w. singer company, syracuse, new york
the book is 96-pages and hardcover. the book is stamped on the title page: sample copy. that is why it's in such great shape.
the book uses mother, father, bob, susan, jimmy, nancy, and miss brown, their school teacher. it looks straight from "father knows best," with traditional core curriculum and family life.
the retro art shows 1940s-style clothing, hair, cars, and other old-school details.
it would make adorable decor for a nursery or child's room or homeschooling area, sitting on an easel or shelf.
the book's front and back covers and binding are in excellent condition. the book is 70-years-old, but certainly does not look like it. it appears to be from a school library, though the only condition issues are small folds on some corners, slight edge wearing, and page 5-6 torn at the binding/lower third, but still in the book and not noticeable. the colors are vibrant and original.
please look through all the photos. you will see exact condition (and hopefully, feel pleased to find such a pretty vintage school book).
vintage item, as-is, but with all issues stated and photographed
