this beautiful, large produce peeler is vintage at its best. it feels great in your hand and is such a nice weight, perfectly balanced and with a unique shape.
the head is made of stainless steel. the red bakelite handle makes it extra special.
use this as farmhouse wall decor, hanging by the hole made into the handle. or, it's ready to function and work in today's kitchen, peeling vegetables and fruits. it's great for carrots, potatoes, and apples. it will core apples, too.
note: be careful with the very, very sharp end and teeth on the peeler. please keep away from any little ones.
the head of the peeler is still solid. the handle feels sturdy. the only real aging is at the tip of the handle, where the back side near the hanging hole shows some type of wear and tear. (i would guess a little one might have chewed on it, teething.)
inside the silver head, if you look very closely, you see "hong kong" etched inside the blades.
i didn't find another peeler just like this one for sale online. i'm offering it at a bargain price.

to play it safe, i suggest hand-washing and not putting this into the dishwasher.
