this cool-looking umbrella looks as if it could be very, very old. but i am guessing the retro design is part of a promotional item giveaway for big donors to the kansas city, missouri pbs station, kctv channel 19.
it's a high-quality item and could have even been something someone on the staff used on-air or given to staff.
the heavy-duty wooden handle and tip are extra nice. it opens up into a huge umbrella, made with heavyweight khaki-colored cotton and with all the spines intact and everything working.
this is from my own personal antiques collection, something i found in a fun kansas city vintage store.
i used it to hang as decor on a brass vintage rack in our entryway to add ambiance.
it could be a great prop for theater, school plays, or church plays. it could be part of a halloween costume or for a dance recital (think "singing in the rain"!).
size: almost 3' long when closed
vintage item, as-is, but with exact condition shown in the photos
