this puzzle makes a great gift for a holiday, office, or family reunion gift exchange. it's a lovely gift for a puzzle-lover, soup-lover, or art-lover. it works for all ages. take this one on vacation, to a family gathering, or put it together with multiple generations at a holiday gathering. it's easier to make small talk while doing something else at the same time...
this puzzle is actually two puzzles.
- one side is glossy and features the large, 60s-colors campbell's tomato soup can. the original artwork was called "colored campbell's soup can" and done in 1965, using acrylic paint, spray paint, silkscreen ink, and pencil, created on linen, and a big 36" tall and 24" wide.
- the second side is matte and features rows of various campbell's soup, done in their regular red/white colors. the art piece was called "200 campbell's soup cans" and created in 1962 on cotton, done with casein, spray paint, and pencil. the artwork was a huge 100-1/8" (gotta add that extra 1/8" ha) wide and 72" tall.
the completed puzzles will be: 24" tall and 18" wide for the glossy side and 24" wide and 18" tall for the matte side.
the puzzle is made by galison and licensed/trademarked with the andy warhol foundation for the visual arts, inc. it is licensed/trademarked with campbell soup company, too.
