this super-fun looking, vintage tray is probably mid-century. think palm springs, california decor...
only one other tray like this was for sale online. it is very rare.
it shows a cannon and cannonballs in the left corner and says "for hot shot." in the lower right corner, you see one cannonball that was shot.
the center features a grilling man wearing a chef's hat that says "champ," an apron, and oven mitts. he is holding up a steak on his barbecue fork. another steak is cooking on the grill.
it would make a fun gift for your favorite griller for father's day, especially paired with a chef's hat, apron, oven mitts, spices, and maybe some fresh vegetables and meats. you could arrange everything on top of the tray, then use easter-style cellophone and wide ribbon two directions to create a beautiful gift package.
it makes the best decor for a retro-themed bar area or man cave.
stand it on one edge on your kitchen countertop to add a vintage touch.
if you have a hunting/fishing/lake/mountain cabin or travel trailer/rv, the tray is perfect as lighthearted, nostalgic decor.
the metal tray is lightweight, but sturdy, and extra cute. it is in good condition, with a few minor signs of aging (mostly on the back). no part of the tray has significant issues or any rust-through, as with many vintage metal trays.
the tray is photographed in different lights and at different angles. the color is a wheat-color for the main portion, with red, black, and cream in the artwork, too.
found in a very small town's antique store in the midwest
