i spotted this book at a high-end estate sale in overland park, kansas. the home's shelves contained many beautiful books.
the book is divided into five major sections, covering john f. kennedy's life in school, the navy, his transitional years, life in boston, and life in washington d.c.
it also includes a foreword, some preliminaries, a conclusion, acknowledgements, and an index.
the book is written by a well-known historian and his wife, both journalists. they examine our 35th president's private life, family life, love life, political ambitions, illness/injury, friendships, and his effects on his brothers. it covers his number of achievements, despite being in pain more than half his life. even so, he chose a difficult career and succeeded in that political career.
the book discusses jfk's character strengths and flaws. it gives the facts that contributed to his popularity and public image. it details his politics.
it does not have the book jacket. it shows slight wear around the edges. its binding is tight. it comes from a non-smoking home. the front inside lower cover has some glue buckling. the owner's name is written in green ink on the right first blank page. otherwise, the book looks in very, very good shape.
