it's so cute! this old, old storybook features the sweetest illustrations by ruth bendel. this retelling takes place in a big barnyard with a little red hen, her fluffy chicks, and their neighbors--a pig, a duck, and a goose.
this tiny book looks both fragile and special. the junior elf books were a line of children's books, well-known and popular in many homes.
this adorable classic would look perfect as vintage decor on an easel or framed in a nursery, child's room, family room, or homeschooling area.

many of these books did not survive. the other four available online are priced from $6.29 to $12.95, with shipping added. i have priced my copy very low, due to condition issues and also with trying to increase sales and lower my inventory.
this copy is in well-used condition, with me typically over-stating any condition issues. the front cover's top left corner is loose, but still there. the overall front and back cover show aging and wear and tear. the binding is loose, but all intact. one page is torn, but with all the paper still there. the copyright page has some discoloring and a tiny hole. one word inside the book is underlined in ink pen.
i do not attempt repairs, but believe the book could be mended to reasonably solid condition. it is lightweight and therefore, fairly delicate.
the pages show yellowing, but the colors are all still lovely. the book comes from a non-smoking household and has never been a library book.
