this sweet-looking, square-shaped cup caught my eye out in the middle of kansas at a little farming town's antique store.
the yellow is faded, but still sunshine-y and pleasant. how can you drink a cup of coffee or tea and stay in a bad mood with a cup this cute?
another idea: add a little succulent or plant or pot of herbs.
one more idea: put your easter egg yellow dye in this cup, so the kids know yellow is for making the yellow eggs.
ok, just one more idea: use this cute decor accent as a catch-all by your bedside, in your bathroom, or on an entry table for your keys, rings, and loose change.
from my research, it seems as if lipton gave away this style of square cup as a promotion back in the 1950s or 1960s.
the milk glass cups are translucent, coated with different colors on the exterior.

no cracks or chips, but the coloring is now a softer yellow and the sides vary a bit (one side has a dirty-looking spot; i didn't want to risk scrubbing it and ruin the finish)
